Family Dinner

Yesterday we had our first family dinner since covid started. It felt a bit strange to see everyone. I was a little nervous about it. I felt insecure about what my family would say about my weight gain. Having gained 15 lbs is noticeable. Also I was worried about the covid topic. Half my family isnt vaccinated.

I got there and a few people were already there. When my sister showed up I instantly relaxed and felt a ease. She had gained weight too! And so had my other sister.. LOL . It made me felt better about myself.  There was no diet talk, no weight comments and no talk about how bad all the food would be. We ate, talked and had a good time together. No one judged anyone for eating too much or eating too much cake. It was really great. I sure hope that it will be like that at the next dinner.

So, an update.. my weight has stayed steady at 175lbs. I guess this is where my body is happy. I would like to lose a few belly pounds but if not, its not a big deal. I started working out, been at it for a couple months. I do it when the body is able. 2 -4 times a week. Also eating more salads. Trying to eat more veggies. I have no problem eating fruit, I love it.

Welcome my blog. I’m not new to blogging, but it has been a few years since I blogged. Thought it was about time to start a new chapter. I’m older and wiser now, I hope! I plan to share some personal things but mostly I want to share my crafty side. I enjoy crocheting, sewing and I recently started painting.
